Here we go... Because veterans don't have much of a "fighting" chance against the Veterans' benefits bureaucracy, now they'll pay money to lawyers to help them. So here is how it goes: (1) Congress (made of lawyers mostly) makes the benefits regulations impossibly difficult to follow, then (2) Congress "helps" veterans by "allowing" them to pay lawyers so that they "help" veterans get the "help" that is theirs to begin with. P.S. Reminds me somehow of
what Warren Buffet says about the financial services industry. Here is a snippet: "...the burden of paying Helpers may cause American equity investors, overall, to earn only 80 percent or so of what they would earn if they just sat still and listened to no one."
